About the Role:

The Construction Quality Control System Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance within the organization. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems that align with regulatory requirements and company policies. The manager will lead a team of quality professionals to conduct inspections, audits, and testing to identify areas for improvement and ensure corrective actions are effectively executed. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, and supply chain is essential for driving continuous improvement and upholding customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the QA/QC Manager ensures that the company delivers reliable, safe, and high-quality products to the market, thereby protecting the brand reputation and supporting business growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction experience with experience in large energy resilience projects, or a construction person with a minimum of 10 years in related quality management work. 
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing Quality Control teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certification such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), entitled "Construction Quality Management For Contractors within the last five years..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced quality tools and software, including statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations such as EM 385-1-1, or other quality standards.
  • Experience working in a military or highly regulated environment.
  • Advanced degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QC policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry regulations and company objectives.
  • Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and professional development.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and inspections of processes, materials, and finished products to verify adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to identify quality issues, root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports, analyze data trends, and present findings to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and certification agencies to ensure ongoing compliance and successful audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging quality metrics, customer feedback, and industry best practices.
