Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain for aerospace materials and components.
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives, ensuring the availability of high-quality materials and services while managing costs.
Create and manage purchase orders, requisitions, solicit bid proposals, track order status, and resolve any discrepancies related to pricing, quantity, or delivery.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and conditions with suppliers, ensuring that best-in-class pricing is achieved while maintaining quality standards.
Work closely with the inventory and production teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials, managing stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
Ensure that purchased materials and components meet all necessary quality standards and industry certifications, coordinating with the quality control team as needed.
Support the creation and management of purchase agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, engineering, quality) to ensure materials are available for manufacturing processes, meeting production deadlines.
Continuously monitor supplier performance and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
Ensure that procurement activities comply with aerospace industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications. Provide regular reports on procurement performance and inventory levels.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBLITIES:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing environment
Understanding of industry standards, materials, and ISO certifications (e.g., AS9100, FAR, DFARS). Preferred.
Proficient in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed procurement decisions.
Knowledge of cost management and budgeting processes.
Experience monitoring inventory levels
Ability to read, speak and write in English
